Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. -Colossians 3:16 ESV
Many areas up and down coastlines are continuously being nourished and replenished. Storms and
Nor’easters take away precious coastline and threaten dunes and homes and in some cases undermining roads. To replenish is to refill again or renew. Whether planting dune grasses, installing sand fences or restocking the beach with truckloads of sand, it is a valiant effort to renew what has been lost.
Do you ever feel like your faith needs to be restored? I know I do at times. Life happens and in our routines, we yearn for time with God….real quality time. The phone rings, the kids need something, the dog has to go out. Our honorable intentions seeking God are left by the wayside time after time. And then we realize a season has passed and we realize we have lost that fire for God. Our complaining of life in general leaves us in an eroded state of mind. We know when too much time has passed and our faith is faltering. Our spirituality needs replenishing. We have just misplaced our priorities and have stumbled. Yes, we still have to take care of our families and work at our jobs. But we can do both……be responsible and maintain our spirituality. It is when we choose to seek Him that He will be found. Restocking our mind with scripture and restoring prayer into our life will renew our faith once again. The time we spend with Him, talking to Him is never wasted. His Word is food for our soul
